It's MUCH faster, which is enough right there for me.another thing i really like is how perfectly it syncs everything between computers. I have a desktop and a laptop and i frequently use both. It not only does an amazing job of syncing things like documents(which i am aware there are other programs that do this, but its really nice that its not only built into windows, but i dont even have to set anything up), but it will sync windows settings as well, I change how my taskbar is setup on one, and it'll reflect on the other next time i turn it on.There is also a ton of minor improvements and features. New task manager is amazing. New file copier is fantastic.
It has built in (and very good) virtualisation.Even little things. Ever get prompted with that error that a file is in use so it cant be changed or deleted? Windows 8 tells you WHAT is using it. I could go on and on, there are improvements everywhere in the OS.As a programmer I also have to mention how great.net 4.5 and how much better programming for windows 8 is over 7. They've made programming for 8 much easier.Just download it and try it out, don't just bash it for no reason.
